These photos are from Christien Meindertsma's addition to the Design for a Living World exhibit which was on display at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York.
The exhibit is over, but featured ten designers who were commissioned to find unique and new uses for sustainably grown and manufactured materials. I was so thrilled by the use of giant knitting ... and that it was made from wool sourced from a sustainable sheep ranch in Idaho.
I would love to own a pair of these big knitting needles...or even better, one of the fantastic poufs for my living room floor.
