fabulous fair trade.

felt sheep lamp from Johannesburg

This is my favourite product from Unseen Products, a shop that
hosts a variety of great deigns from a big list of featured designers. What's even better is that they have a fantastic concept that works with small producers in developing countries.
Perfect!

marimekko.

I have just been out looking at the marvellous new collection from Marimekko today, and I am so inspired by graphic prints and bold colours - ready for spring!
And some lovely news…. Converse and Marimekko - two strong brands with great history….
have just joined together to make a line of womens sneakers for spring, featuring the rough textiles and fantastic graphic prints of Merimekko.
Perfect!

mikkeller bar.

Mikkeller was begun in 2007, and has been awarded Danish brewery of the year twice.
The Mikkeller Bar in Denmark is located in the heart of Vesterbro, Copenhagen…

Instead of opting for a dingy dark bar for their cold brewed beer, behold specialized bottle selection, famous beer from around the world on tap ….and the perfect mix of white, green, black clean lines and fantastic playfulness.
All interior and graphic design has been completed by skilled design agency Femmes Regionales based in Denmark, who have a whimsical and fantastic approach to all of their designs.
Lighting design and photography was completed by Lars Engelgaar.
I absolutely love it!

office pets.

Office pets were a project sponsored by Vitra that allowed creators to develop a product with no consideration for market sales or logic.
Dutch product designer Hella Jongerius designed office pets to connect the office world with fairytales using leather, embroidery, metal and polyester.
Currently in the collection at the Vitra Design Museum.

Hella has also just released a new book with Phaidon, full of inspiration images, and bound with string.
